Sao Paulo starts public consultation of multi purpose arena

The Brazilian city of São Paulo has launched a public consultation regarding the development of a multi-purpose arena in the Anhembi complex through the PPP model.

To be more specific, the project involves the development, operation and maintenance of the new facilities during the 30 year concession period. Additionally, the project includes the provision of new equipment.

The concessionaire will have to invest approximately R$285 million (US$71.4 million).

In January 2015, it was launched a tender process to select a firm to carry out feasibility studies for the project. The following companies submitted studies for the project:

  • Almeida & Fleury Consultoria Econômica Ltda. and TetraArq Arquitetura e Projetos Ltda.;
  • Arena Assessoria de Projetos Ltda., Moyses & Pires Sociedade de Advogados, Lagardere Unlimited do Brasil Operações Esportivas e Participações Ltda. and BF Capital Assessoria em Operações Financeiras Ltda.;
  • Fernandes Arquitetos Associados, SBP do Brasil Projetos Ltda. and Empresa Brasileira de Engenharia de Infraestrutura Ltda.;
  • IMX, Esporte e Entretenimento Ltda, Azevedo Sette Advogados Associados, Gustavo Penna Arquitetos Associados and Lumens Engenharia;
  • T4F Entretenimento S/A; and
  • WTorre S/A.

Interested parties are able to send feedback, suggestions and comments regarding the project until the 21st of March 2016.
