The city of Caraguatatuba, located in the state of São Paulo, has announced that Caraguá Light consortium is the preferred bidder for the city's street lighting PPP project.
The concession contract includes the project design, implementation, expansion, modernization, operation and maintenance of public lighting installations in the city, and responsibility of energy consumption.
Caraguatatuba is the largest city of São Paulo north shore. The population in 2010 was 100.899, its density is 208.4/km² and the area is 484 km².
In November last year, the Sao Paulo municipality conducted a public hearing for the Sao Paulo Street lighting PPP project. The preferred bidder will have to modernize, streamline, expand and maintain the street lighting infrastructure of the city.
