The State of São Paulo has launched a new program aimed to support São Paulo municipalities interested in street lighting PPP projects.
The municipalities that join the program will receive technical support from the Finance Secretariat until the conclusion of their respective tender processes.
On May 4 was held the first meeting with representatives of the municipalities interested in the program. According to sources, the state's support to the municipalities will involve the preparation of a bid, contract and business model, and the municipalities would be responsible for conducting technical studies for the project development.
The initiative aims to make municipal projects more understandable and attractive to the private sector.
