Sao Bernardo do Campo launches public consultation for street lighting PPP
The Municipality of São Bernardo do Campo, in São Paulo (Brazil), has launched a public consultation for the street lighting PPP project.
Interested parties must submit their criticisms, suggestions or comments on or before 5 October 2015. The public hearing will take place on 2 September.
The municipality launched in March this year a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for consultants, to which four companies registered:
- FM Rodrigues & Cia Ltda .;
- Construcap - CCPS Engenharia e Comércio S.A .;
- Brasiluz Electricity and Electronics Ltda .;
- Cálix and Information Systems.
The municipality has already entered into a PPP agreement with Revita Engenharia S/A and Lara Central de Tratamento de Resíduos Ltda. for a solid waste concession in 2012.
Located in southern Metropolitan São Paulo and São Paulo microregion, São Bernardo do Campo has a total area of 408.45 km² and a population of about 800,000 inhabitants. As of 2014, São Bernardo do Campo exports $3.59B (USD) worth of goods and represents 1.48% of Brazil's total exports.
