Sadbhav Engineering lowest bidder for NH-8 DBFOT project

Sadbhav Engineering declared the lowest bidder for the public private partnership road project, four Laning of Gomati - Chauraha - Udaipur section of NH-8 under the design, build, finance, operate and transfer method with tolls paid by the users. The project is located in the state of Rajasthan and will be executed under NHDP Phase IV.
Sabdhav Engineering competed against 38 other firms that have been prequalified for the contract.
The plan for four-laning of the 79km project was cleared by the Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) on March 1. The total project cost is Rs 1,114.27 crore ($221 million), about Rs 199.77 crore ($40 million) is required for land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and preconstruction.
The awarded firm offered an annual premium of Rs 21.60 crore ($0.4 million). The Concession Period of the project is 27 years from Appointed Date. The construction would be completed in 30 months from the date of award of work. The project aims to expedite the improvement of infrastructure in Rajasthan and also to reduce the travel time between Gomti Chauraha and Udaipur. This stretch will improve connectivity to Nathdwara, a popular pilgrim destination.
