Rockland Capital has announced it has raised more than US$237 million for the fund Rockland Power Partners III.
The fund, with a target size of US$450 million, is the company's third power-focused fund. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, it has has raised commitments from 30 investors.
Rockland Capital is a US private equity company that was formed in early 2003 in order to acquire and develop selected investment opportunities in the North American and European power and energy infrastructure markets.
Rockland is currently investing Rockland Power Partners II, a US$425 million private equity fund with investors that include U.S. endowments and foundations, funds of funds, pension plans and family offices. The firm also manages Rockland Power Partners, a US$333 million private equity fund, and continues to manage the B.L. England Generating Station, the remaining asset of Rockland Capital Energy Investments, a US$120 million pledge fund.
Portfolio investments have been located throughout the United States with one in the United Kingdom, have ranged in size from 1,875 MW to 5 MW and have been fueled by natural gas, coal, biomass, oil, flywheel, wind and solar power.
