Roatex Ltd has received official notification from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia that it has been selected as the winner of the public tender for the Procurement for Public Partnership for Multi-Lane Free Flow Transaction System.
The project's first phase will take 1 year to complete, after the concession agreement comes into force, with the concession running for a total of 10 years, with Roatex ltd providing the necessary management and operation services.
The accepted winning technological solution, a GNSS-based tolling system, is the most modern tolling technology globally, with further growth potential across various areas. The new solution will provide Indonesia a state-of-the-art technology for tolling, which can be used as a base platform for future developments such as congestion charge service, electronic road pricing, parking fee solutions, and logistical services.
Roatex Ltd is backed by the Hungarian financial development agencies, such as the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB Invest), the technology suppliers of the project are some of the most renowned companies in the field internationally. Roatex Ltd will work closely in implementing the project with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, ITRA, the Toll Operators, Ministry of Communication and Information, Bank of Indonesia, and the Police as an enforcement agency.
