RFQ released for Kuwait PPP hospital

The State of Kuwait, through the Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB), the agency that manages the PPP projects in the country, has released a request for qualifications for the development of a new physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital as a PPP  project  to upgrade, expand and consolidate  the current rehabilitation facilities in Kuwait and respond to the increasing demand for rehabilitation services.
The PTB has appointed a team of advisers comprised of PricewaterhouseCoopers (lead adviser), Pinsent Masons, EC Harris and Perkins Eastman to act as transaction Adviser for the Authority on this Project.
The prior submission of an EOI is not a prerequisite to submitting a Response.
The New Facility will be procured as the first healthcare PPP in Kuwait. The purpose of the project is to design, build, finance, maintain and operate (DBFMO) the 500 bed New Facility, located in Al Andalus area, Kuwait.
The Project will include the provision of soft FM services, laboratory and medical equipment services, building maintenance and routine maintenance services, life cycle repair and replacement services for the New Facility for a period of 25 year.
The deadline for the submission of completed Responses is 12 noon (Kuwait time) on Thursday May 3rd 2012
