RFQ launched for Wastewater PPP Project in Kuwait Southern Area Wastewater project in KuwaitPartnerships Technical Bureau of Kuwait has launched the Request for qualification for a wastewater PPP project in the state of Kuwait.There is an urgent requirement to expand and rehabilitate sewage treatment and conveyance capacity in Kuwait and in particular in relation to the sewerage system in the Kuwait Southern Area. The Umm Al Hayman Wastewater Project is an integral part of this overall improvement programme and planned involvement of the private sector in Kuwait's wastewater sector.The Project comprises the following: the design, financing, building, rehabilitation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of a new WWTP with an initial treatment capacity of 500,000m3/d.Previous important dates of the project are the following:- 15 January 2012: Requests for EOI launched- 15 March 2012: EOIs were due.- 25 April 2012: RFQ launchedApplicants are invited to submit a SOQ to PTB, in the method specified in this RFQ, no later than 12:00 noon, 21 June 2012.HSBC Bank Middle East, Fichtner GmbH & Co.
