RFQ launched for Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway PPP Project in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) has released a Request for Qualification for the Design, Financing, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of "Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway PPP Project" in Northern Part of Dhaka. The Project will be implemented on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis in accordance with the policy and strategy of public-private  partnership (PPP), 2010. Total cost of the project has initially been estimated to be approximately US$ 1.15 billion.

The goal of the project is to minimize the traffic congestion in and around Dhaka-Ashulia area. Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) has planned to construct approximately 34.00 km of Elevated Expressway  The intended route of the Expressway will be Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport-Abdullahpur-Ashulia-EPZ-Chandra (connecting National Monument at Savar).

The Private Partner will be selected through a competitive bidding process among the prequalified Applicants after the Request For Qualification (RFQ) Process. The prequalified Applicants will be issued Invitation for Bid from BBA for submission of proposal in consequence of Request For Proposal (RFP).

Pre-qualification documents must be submitted not later than 1500 hours Bangladesh Standard Time on April 17, 2013.
