RFQ launched for a waste PPP project in Indonesia

The Procurement Committee of the Municipal Government of Batam of The Republic of Indonesia has published a Request for Pre-Qualification for international and domestic firms/consortium interested in participating in the competitive selection process to design, construct, finance and operate a green technology based solid waste treatment facility.

The Municipal Government of Batam is considering developing a waste to energy (incinerator) based technology to dispose a minimum 1000 tons per day of its solid waste. The Project cost estimation is IDR 1,500,000,000,000 (US$133 million).

The procurement process is based on the Presidential Regulation No 67/2005 Regarding Cooperation between Government and Business Entities in Infrastructure Provision as amended by Presidential Regulation No 13/2010 and Presidential Regulation No 56/2011.

Pre-Qualification Document will be available in the Procurement Committee Secretariat at the address below starting 12 until 26 September 2013 from 10.00 am until 14.00 pm WIB (Western Indonesia Standard Time).

The Pre-Qualification Document can be obtained upon fulfilling the following requirements:

  1. To submit an Expression of Interest Letter signed by the President Director or other authorized person in the Firm;
  2. To show original business licenses and submit the copies;
  3. The Pre-Qualification Document shall be obtained by the President Director of the Firm or his/her representative by showing the original Power of Attorney Letter (sealed IDR 6,000) and original identification card, and submitting the copies.
