The City of Houston has issued a Request for Qualification(RFQ) for the replacement, operations and maintenance of the Skyway Automated People Mover (APM) System in Texas, USA.
The project entails various responsibilities encompassing the Skyway APM Replacement Project, including activities such as demolition, disposal, design, fabrication, assembly, factory testing, construction, installation, delivery, integration, testing, commissioning, safety certification, demonstration, and subsequent operations and maintenance. The scope of work consists of the following aspects:
Carrying out all essential tasks for demolishing, upgrading, and revitalizing the existing APM infrastructure, including Stations, Guideway, Maintenance and Storage Facility, Central Control (CC), and Power Distribution Facilities;
Executing the removal and replacement of Vehicles, Train Control, Power Distribution, Communications, Platform Screen Doors, and Central Control Equipment; and
Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the newly established Skyway APM System.
