RFQ issued for Hospital development Project in Canada

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and William Osler Health System (Osler) have issued a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) for the new Peel Memorial Hospital Phase 2 Redevelopment project to be built on 20 Lynch Street, Brampton Ontario, Canada.

The new Peel Memorial Hospital will expand healthcare capacity in the community, addressing the critical need for specialized care for patients who require longer hospital stays before safely returning home or receiving additional community care. By providing beds for extended stays, Peel Memorial will help free up space for critically ill patients at Brampton Civic Hospital. Peel Memorial Phase 2 aims to enhance services for the rapidly growing community, supporting a robust and accessible local health system. The project will offer specialized care, including innovative emotion-based care for older adults with dementia, and will feature an Emergency Care Centre. The new facility will be attached to Peel Memorial Centre Phase 1 and will include three levels of underground parking, a surface parking lot, and twelve floors above ground with a mechanical penthouse.

The Project's functional program includes 17 components. The new PM Phase 2 facility will house five inpatient programs and services, two outpatient services, one emergency department, and seven support services. Additionally, two outpatient mental health services in the PM Phase 1 facility will expand to accommodate new services and consolidate outpatient mental health and addiction services. The project will feature a total of 250 inpatient care beds, spaces for 72 post-acute beds beyond the 2027/28 forecast, and nine growth beds (two for the Geriatric Assessment Behavioural Unit, two for Medically Assisted Withdrawal Management, and five for Post-Acute Concurrent Disorders).

The closing date of this RFQ is July 24, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
