On 23 April 2013, Infrastructure Ontario and Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation have released a Request For Proposals inviting the three shortlisted consortia to submit proposals to design, build and finance the new McMaster Children's Treatment Centre.The shortlisted teams are:PCL Constructors Canada Inc.:• PCL - Constructor• TD Securities - Financial Advisor• Stantec - ArchitectIntegrated Team Solutions (ITS):• EllisDon - Constructor• Fengate Capital - Financial Advisor• B+H - Architect• McCallum Sather - ArchitectKids Health Infrastructure Solutions:• Carillion Canada Inc. - Constructor• Investec Capital - Financial Advisor• Zeidler Partnership - Architect• Mitchell Architects - Architect

The successful team is expected be selected and announced in fall 2013.

The project

The new treatment centre will be constructed on Wellington Street across from the Regional Rehabilitation Centre. It will be fully accessible and will include an outdoor wheeling track, a therapeutic playground and physiotherapy space. The new site will bring together a number of programs that are currently located at Hamilton Health Sciences' Chedoke site.
