RFP for Zambia road PPP

The Government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Road Development Agency (RDA), has launched a tender process to seek a private partner to develop a road PPP.

RDA has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of the Chirundu Border to Chilanga Road (T002), approximately 118km in Lusaka province on a PPP basis.

The selected bidder will have to finance, design, construct, operate, maintain and toll the proposed road project. Bidders shall demonstrate, among others, economic proficiency and financial capacity to finance or to secure financing for the investments required under the concession.

The deadline for submitting proposals is August, 11.

As we reported in January 2016, RDA launched another request for proposals for six projects, including this road. The Government of Zambia had launched a Request for Expressions of Interest in July 2015. The other projects were:
