The City of Edmonton has launched a request for proposal (RFP) to provide LRT Operations and Maintenance Advisory Services for the Valley Line West (VLW) Light Rail Transit PPP project. The advisory will assist the City during the procurement, design, construction, and commissioning of the project and for the overall infrastructure including systems and light rail vehicles.
The scope of services the Consultant will be responsible for will be:
1. VLW DBF Procurement Support
2. VLW Light Rail Vehicle Supplier Procurement Support
The Edmonton Valley Line West LRT is the second stage of the Valley Line LRT project in the city of Edmonton in the state of Alberta. The extension will span 14km between 102 Street and Lewis Farms, running from Mill Woods through downtown to the west end, with connections to LRT and bus routes covering the entire city. The 14 stops include West Edmonton Mall, the Misericordia Hospital, and the Brewery District. The estimated investment of the project is CAD 2.6 billion (USD 1.9 billion).
