RBC hires co-head for infrastructure finance group

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has announced that Sekhar Angepat has returned to RBC as co-head of the infrastructure team

Sekhar Angepat will work alongside Vickie Turnbull. Mr. Angepat got his start in the business at RBC, but moved to Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce four years ago. In 2013, he relocated to New York from Toronto to help with CIBC's expansion in infrastructure and debt capital markets south of the border.

Mr. Angepat is specialized in buy side advisory for infrastructure assets, particularly in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) space. Working very closely with some of the largest contractors and FM providers in the world, have to date advised on transactions totaling over $2 billion in the Canadian Infrastructure space and $4.5 billion overall.

Sekhar Angepat has a bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Carleton University.
