Qatar launches tender for schools PPP

Qatar authorities have launched a tender process seeking firms to develop school projects in the country through the public private partnership (PPP) model

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Ministry of Education and Higher Education have published a notice to this effect for the design, build, financing, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) of the school projects.

According to this notice the projects will encompass ten plots of land of 15,000-sqm area located in Al Wakrah, Al Khor and Al Rayyan.

Interested firms are requested to carry out a survey providing specific details on their proposed facility, such as timeframe for the development, costs, feasibility study, financing and marketing.

The deadline for interested companies to register in the process will be on 15 November 2016. The launch of the competitive bidding will be announced after the review of the survey information.
