Punjab seeks interest for BRT PPP project

The Government of Punjab, Pakistan, has launched through the Lahore Transport Company seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI's) from reputable national and international parties to build two Buss Rapid Transit (BRT) routes on "Built Operate and Transfer" basis. This will include design, build, finance, operate and transfer of project on following two corridors in Lahore:

  • Ferozepur Road 28.7 Km
  • Multan Road 12.4 Km

Lahore is the second largest urban centre in Pakistan. It is the provincial capital for most populous province of Pakistan Punjab with population of more than 9 million inhabitants in 2006.

A "Project Information Memorandum (PIM)" describing the salient features of the project, scope of work, procedure, bid evaluation criteria and the Government of Punjab's PPP Policy; can be obtained from the link below. Commuters' fare, commercialization of the property and advertisement on buses & BRT corridors are major revenue streams of the project.

Interested firms are required to submit their expression of Interest and Information (name, contact details and profile of firm/consortium; legal status of the firm, organization structure and nature of business operations; audited financial statements; similar projects portfolio, experience, appropriate skills, etc.) indicating that they are qualified to provide the services. International firms/consortiums are encouraged to apply.
