Today I would like to share with you all an organization that is working hard for the development of PPP projects in developing countries and belongs to the World Bank, the PUBLIC-PRIVATE INFRASTRUCTURE ADVISORY FACILITY.
Citing their website: PPIAF's mission is to help eliminate poverty and achieve sustainable development through public-private partnerships in infrastructure. PPIAF helps developing countries improve their infrastructure through two main mechanisms:
It offers governments technical assistance on strategies and measures they can use to tap the full potential of partnerships between the public and private sector
It identifies, disseminates, and shares best practices around public-private partnerships in infrastructure in developing countries.
I discovered that they publish papers on PPP's and some of them are really interesting. Gridlines is the name of the publications that are free for downloads on their website.
Citing them again: "Gridlines share emerging knowledge on public-private partnership and give an overview of a wide selection of projects from various regions of the world."
One of the last publications is about the role of PPP's in Indian infrastructure financing. I just wanted to share this is interesting link with you.
