The State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has started the public consultation process to carry out the Fazenda Albor social PPP project.
In October 2015, we reported that São Paulo State authorized a total of eight consultants to participate in the advisory tender process for the Fazenda Albor social PPP project. The Expression of Interest (EOI) for the consultant services was launched in August 2015.
Among the authorized groups were: MRV Engenharia e Participações S.A., Andrade Gutierrez, and the Instituto de Urbanismo e Estudos para a Metrópole (URBEM).
The authorized firms had to submit feasibility studies for the project on or before the deadline, established for February 2016.
The social PPP project will be developed on a piece of land of 124 hectares, which is located 30 km away from Guarulhos' city center. The total project investment stands at BRL1,176,665,200.36 (US$356 million) and the PPP contract will run under a 20-year agreement.
