The Brazillian Ministério dos Transportes has published the financial-economic Feasibility Studies for the implementation of two regional railway lines. Those are Londrina - Maringá, in the state of Paraná, and Caxias do Sul - Bento Gonçalves, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
The stretch in the state of Paraná has a length of around 150 kilometres and will link 13 cities. The stretch in the state of Rio Grande do Sul will interlink the cities of Caxias do Sul, Farroupilha, Bento Gonçalves, Carlos Barbosa and Garibaldi.
Interested parties can submit contributions to the public consultation until April 30th by sending an email to: consultapublica@transportes.gov.br.

The Feasibility Studies have been carried out by a team of professionals from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.
