The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has selected Regionerate Rail as the winning consortium to deliver the Inland Rail Gowrie-Kagaru PPP project in Queensland.
The selected consortium consists of Plenary Group, Clough, GS Engineering and Construction, Webuild and Service Stream.
The AUD5 billion (US$3.72 billion) contract involves the design and construction of 128 kilometers of new and upgraded rail track between Gowrie and Kagaru, a 6.2-kilometer tunnel through the Great Dividing Range, the largest diameter freight tunnel in the southern hemisphere and a 25-year maintenance phase after the completion.
