Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced the evaluation completion of the received proposals from the bidders for the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir Project in Makkah City, Saudi Arabia.
The initiative aims to improve the water distribution infrastructure, catering to the needs of Makkah city residents, visitors, and Hajj & Umrah pilgrims. The strategic tanks boast a capacity of 2,000,000 m3, complemented by operational tanks with a 500,000 m3 capacity, contributing to the efficiency of the potable water distribution system.
SWPC announces the names of both Preferred Bidder and Reserved Bidder in addition to their Levelized Water Storage Charges, as follows:
The winning bidder, facilitated by a newly formed project entity, will furnish the necessary storage capacity to SWPC through a 30-year Water Storage Agreement (WSA). SWPC received guidance from Synergy Consulting IFA Inc. as the lead and financial adviser, Amer Al Amr Law Firm as the legal adviser, and WSP Middle East Limited as the technical adviser. The project is anticipated to be completed in Q1 of 2027.
