This week it has been published that Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority (a six month old public toll highway authority in DENVER, COLORADO) is just a few weeks away from issuing a request for expressions of interest for a toll concession for the design, finance, construction and operations of Jefferson Parkway a 20km (13 mile) tollroad northwest of Denver. The Jefferson Parkway is a missing link in the '470 beltway' around the Denver area. It will go from CO128 in Broomfield to CO93 at W58Av north of Golden. It is interesting that a local authority is going to issue this kind of request and it is not the Department of Transportation the one to do it. As it can be read on the Jefferson Parkway Public Highway Authority's website the Authority has been created just to create a request for proposal for a public private partnership to finance, design, construct, operate and maintain the Jefferosn Parkway. The US's public private partnership's market is one of the markets with more potential in the world (in spite of Obama's plans for investing on infrastructure), and consequently it is going to be covered on the PPP News Aggregator website. All th news related to this possible concession tender will be posted here on this link.
