Plenary North America appoints new President and CEO

Plenary Group’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Brian Budden to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Plenary Group (North America).

After 11 successful years as the driving force behind Plenary North America’s tremendous success, founding President, Paul Dunstan, has decided to transition from his executive role as President and CEO to become a member of the Board.

Brian Budden has been a key member of Plenary’s executive management team for the last 10 years. As Executive Vice President, he managed the North American origination teams and, for the last several years, has been heavily involved in managing the business alongside Paul Dunstan.

Mr. Dunstan said:

“I am deeply proud of what our organization has accomplished over the last decade, but the time is right for me to transition out of the day-to-day matters of running the company and focus on more strategic aspects of the business as a Board member.”

Chairman of Plenary Group, John O’Rourke, said:

“On behalf of the Board, we’d like to recognize Paul for his vision and dedication over the last 11 years. We are delighted that he remains committed to the organization and will continue to be involved with the company as a major shareholder and member of the Board.”

“The Board feels Brian is the ideal person to provide leadership to the business and to the executive management team. Not only is he intimately familiar with our existing projects, partners and pipeline, but he has the respect and support of our full employee base across North America.”

Brian Budden stated:

“I’d like to thank the Board for their endorsement and confidence in me to take over such an important role at Plenary. Paul’s departure leaves big shoes to fill and I’m looking forward to ongoing strategic support from him and the other members of the Board as we plan for another decade of growth and success.”
