Plenary Group is strengthening its presence in the United States and has opened an office in Tampa, Florida.
The Plenary team at the new office will be led by Mike Schutt, Vice President, who leads bidding consortia across all aspects of project development, including project financing, structuring, technical, and commercial activities. Mike’s recent achievements include reaching financial close on both the UC Merced 2020 Project in California and the State Street Redevelopment Project in Indiana.
With existing offices in Los Angeles and Denver, Plenary Group selected Tampa as the newest location to support the continued development of P3 opportunities in Florida, and to be better geographically located to serve current and future clients across the Eastern Seaboard.
Plenary’s new Tampa office will focus on identifying project opportunities, supporting public sector agencies in evaluating procurement structures, and developing proposals for identified P3 projects, such as the Tampa Bay Express Lanes (TBX), I-4 Beyond the Ultimate, and multiple projects in Miami-Dade county.
Mike Schutt, Plenary Vice President, said:
“Florida has an excellent track record with P3s and Plenary is thrilled to be opening an office here in Tampa. Combined with the state’s continued population growth and business investment, and its AAA credit rating, Florida is a key market for the development of critical infrastructure utilizing the P3 model.”
Dale Bonner, Plenary Concessions Executive Chairman, stated:
“Plenary firmly believes that the US market will continue to provide a strong pipeline of P3 projects, and Florida in particular, is a growing state with significant infrastructure requirements. Having a presence on the East Coast will complement our thriving offices in Los Angeles and Denver, and will better position us to establish relationships with local clients and partners across the Eastern United States.”
