PIN issued for Regeneration Housing development project in UK

The London Borough of Lewisham has issued a PIN notice to procure an investment partner to construct and develop large-scale brownfield and regeneration housing projects within the borough.

Lewisham Council plans to establish a partnership with a single contractor-developer for up to 10 years. Planning applications for two initial sites were submitted in October and December 2024. The first site includes 113 units with commercial spaces across two blocks, and the second involves 278 homes, public spaces, and commercial elements in three phases. Early capacity studies of the indicative pipeline estimate the potential for approximately 1,130 to 1,710 new homes.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for contractor developers with strong financial stability and proven experience in working with local authorities. The chosen partner will oversee both construction and development activities. While SMEs and VCSEs are not specifically targeted, businesses with the necessary expertise are encouraged to register early for pre-market engagement details and updates on the procurement process launch.
