The State of Piauí, Brazil, and the State Prosecutor (Ministério Público Estadual - MPE) have signed an agreement to develop a feasibility study for the construction of the MPE head office through a PPP model in the city of Teresina.

The PPP contract would involve, among others, the construction, operation and maintenance of a new building. The new facilities would improve the working conditions and the services provided by the authority. The headquarters would hold the administrative staff of the agency and other justice departments of the state.

The project would be developed in an area donated by the state government. The place is located in "Avenida Barão de Castelo Branco" and has a total area of 10,000 m²

Piauí is one of the states of Brazil, located in the country's Northeast Region. It has the shortest coastline of any of the non-landlocked Brazilian states at 66 km (41 mi), and the capital, Teresina, is the only state capital in the northeast to be located inland.
