Piauí, a state in Brazil, through "Superintendência de Parcerias e Concessões" (SUPARC), has announced a public audience of a PPP project for the installation of information technology (IT) systems at the Teresina, Picos and Floriano bus terminals.
The project would involve the development, operation and maintenance of the IT systems during a 25-year period.
The public hearing will take place on August 18, at the Auditório da Escola de Governo do Estado do Piauí (EGEPI), located in in Teresina. Interested parties could submit suggestions, doubts and questions about the project.
The total project investment is approximately R$6 million (US$1.73 million) and the contract value is estimated at R$128 million (US$36.9 million).
Piauí, located in the country's Northeast Region, has the shortest coastline of any of the non-landlocked Brazilian states at 66 km, and the capital, Teresina, is the only state capital in the northeast to be located inland. The state has a population of about 3.2 million inhabitants.
