Philippines launches tender for ITS terminal through PPP

The Philippine Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has launched a tender process to develop the integrated transport system (ITS) south terminal PPP project in Manila.

The new facility aims to provide a central transport terminal where all modes of transport will be available in one location. This new terminal is expected to provide an effective interconnection between different transport modes and services. The ITS terminal will connect passengers from the Laguna/Batangas side to other urban transport systems.

The project involves the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) of the new facilities for a period of 35 years. The project involves the development of:

  • a passenger terminal building,
  • arrival and departures bays,
  • public information systems,
  • ticketing and
  • baggage holding facilities and park-ride facilities.

The invitation documents will be availables from 6 August 2014. Interested parties must submit their pre-qualifications documents on or before 6 October 2014.
