The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSION) has announced that it is going to award four Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects that are being developed in Peru.
The four projects will be awarded in December 2022 for a total amount of US$400 million, including:
- Piura Nueva Transmission Line - Frontera substation: valued at US$217 million and intends to provide energy security to the northern part of the country;
- Ica to Poroma Transmission Line: the US$56 million project involves the development of a 220 kV capacity transmission line connecting Ica to Poroma and will facilitate the transport of energy generated with renewable resources;
- Cáclic and Jaén Norte Transmission Line: valued at US$74 million and involves the development of a two-circuit 220 kV capacity transmission line connecting Cáclic and Jaén Norte which will make it possible to give greater reliability to the energy system in the northeastern part of the country;
- Waste-water treatment system in Puerto Maldonado: the US$59 million project includes designing, financing, building, rehabilitating, expanding, operating and maintaining the waste-water treatment system in the city of Puerto Maldonado, reducing the impact on the Madre de Dios and Tambopata rivers.
