Peru's private investment promotion agency ProInversion has launched a tender process to select a transaction advisor for the rail rehabilitation project Huancayo - Huancavelica.

The project will involve private investment and will be structured as a concession.

The 'Tren Macho' train, which covers the Huancayo - Huancavelica route, re-started opperations in December 2011, after being out of service for five years. The railroad project started to be build in 1907 but it wasn't finalized until 1933. It has a length of 128 Km.

The deadline for submissions of proposals is 25 November 2013.
