OHL appoints new construction General Manager

Spain's contractor OHL has appointed a new General Manager for its construction arm, OHL Construcción. Ignacio Botella Rodríguez, who so far was in charge of Ferrovial's subsidiary in Poland, Budimex, will lead the construction business in OHL.

The new appointment is a consequence of a renewal in several management positions that the new group CEO Josep Pique is carrying out.

OHL's Board of Directors appointed in October 2013 Mr Josep Pique Camps as Vice Chairman and CEO of OHL Group. Previously, he had been appointed Board Member of Grupo Villar Mir, a leading Spanish private industrial groups, which includes OHL, Fertiberia Ferroatlantica, VM Energía and Inmobiliaria Espacio.

Ignacio Botella is a Civil Engineer and he has developed all his personal career in the Ferrovial Group after he joined it in 1993. Between 2004 and 2008 he was Managing Director of Ferrovial Agromán Italy and since 2008 he led the business in Poland.

According to local sources, Francisco Marín Andrés will continue being the Chairman of OHL Construcción.

Pique has also appointed Alberto Sicre Díaz as General Manager of OHL Industrial. Mr. Sicre joined the firm after having several executive positions in Dragados, Cobra and Iberdrola.

Antonio Berjillos Doblas will be the Chairman of OHL Industrial.

These management changes were approved at a board meeting in May and took effect on June 1st.
