North Dakota tenders student housing PPP project

North Dakota State University Foundation and Alumni Association is soliciting qualifications (RFQ) from experienced development partners to provide new student housing facilities located near North Dakota State University’s (NDSU) campus in Fargo, North Dakota, USA.

The project’s purpose is to serve the housing needs of the NDSU students, and possibly the faculty and staff.

The project scope encompasses to build a 300-bed facility consisting of an studio and one to three bedroom apartments. In addition it will feature study lounges, laundry facilities and parking.

The selected developer will responsible for designing, building, financing, operating, and maintaining (DBFOM) the project on a 3.5-acre property adjacent to the NDSU’s campus.

The North Dakota State University Foundation and Alumni Association's goal is to enter into a ground lease agreement with the future owner of the contemplated housing facility.

NDSU’s main campus is located in Fargo, North Dakota with Extension Service and Research Station locations across the state. During the Fall 2015 semester, NDSU enrolled 14,516 students. The University is projected to grow its student population to approximately 18,000 students in the next five years.

The deadline to submit the RFQ documents is on July 7th, before 4:00 PM (local hour).
