Dear readers, there have been a couple of PPP projets moving forward during this week in India:
Punj Lloyd get Delhi Police PPP project
First, infrastructure firm Punj Lloyd today said it has bagged a Rs 1,300 crore ($255 million) contract from the Delhi Police for building a residential complex at Dheerpur, in Delhi. Punj Lloyd will sign a concession agreement with the Delhi Police, which is under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, for 25 years. The firm will get semi-annual annuities of Rs 62.75 crore ($12.3 million), along with construction milestone-linked lumpsum payments of Rs 316 crore ($62 million).
See article.Shortlist for Jaipur metro PPP projectFour bidders have been short-listed by Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation to bid in the financial stage of the project. They are the following:
  • Reliance-Infra;
  • a consortium led by Essar Projects (India) Ltd, and consisting of Samsung CT Corp. of Korea;
  • a consortium led by Soma Enterprises Ltd and consisting of Inversiones En Concesiones Ferroviarias, S.A.U (ICF) from Spain;
  • and a consortium led by Gammon Infrastructure Projects Ltd consisting of Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras, S.A from Spain

GVK Infrastructure Ltd has announced that GVK Shivpuri Dewas Expressway Private Limited, a step down subsidiary of the company, has signed a Concession Agreement with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the four laning of the Shivpuri Dewas section of National Highway No.3 in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Concession agreement signed for 4-laning of  Hospet - Chitradurga section of NH-13 Ramky Infrastructure Limited was awarded the Road Project by National Highways Authority of India (NHA1) to undertake Four Laning of Hospet - Chitradurga section of NH-13 from KM 299.000 to KM 418.6000 in the State of Karnataka under National Highways Deveiopment Project { NHDP) Phase Ml on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT/BOT) basis in BOT (Toll) [Project].

    None of the five consortia shortlisted for the Rs 9,630-crore (US$1.5 billion) Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) project submitted an offer on August 5th, 2013. While one of them withdrew from the race last week, IRB Infrastructure - Hyundai, the other four chose not to submit their bids on Monday.
