The Mauá Municipal Government, located in the state of São Paulo (Brazil), has established a new deadline for the city water supply PPP project.
Specifically, the governemt has announced that it will open the proposals for the project on 3 September this year.
The objective of the project is to reduce and control water losses of the city water supply system. Two companies were involved in structuring the project: Odebrecht Environmental and Contern.
Mauá has a population of about 450,000 inhabitants and an area of 62.6 km².
Related to the water PPP sector of São Paulo, this month we have reported that the city of Sumaré and Odebrecht Ambiental signed a concession relative to the water supply and sanitation services of the city.
In addition, last month Estruturadora Brasileira de Projetos S.A. submitted an unsolicited proposal to carry out the development of a sanitation public private partnership (PPP) project in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
