NCDOT advertises RFQ for I-77 P3 project

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is looking for concessionaire to develop, design, construct, finance, operate and maintain the proposed I-77 High Occupancy Toll (HOT) project, which is a conversion and expansion of the current High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV). An industry forum is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2012 in Charlotte, N.C., and responses to the RFQ will be due March 15, 2012.
The project will provide growing communities and congested I-77 traffic with additional capacity. This procurement aims to secure a concessionaire to manage the project through a long term toll concession agreement.
