Municipality in Goias starts public consultation of street lighting PPP

Aparecida, a municipality in Goiás (Brazil), has started public consultation of a street lighting public private partnership (PPP) project.

A total of three companies, including Companhia Paulista de Desenvolvimento - CPD, Agnys Energia Ltda. and Embrace Participações Ltd., submitted feasibility studies for the project. 

The project entails the modernization, expansion operation and maintenance of the municipality street lighting system. It is expected that the project will improve the efficiency of the system.

The concession, which will be for a period of 30 years, has an estimated value of R$1.3 billion (US$373.2 million).

Interested parties must submit their reviews, comments or suggestions on or before 25 June.

Aparecida de Goiânia is a city and municipality in central Goiás. It is the second largest city in the state and a bustling industrial center.. The population is about 520,000 inhabitants.
