The Magdalena River PPP project is advancing in its structuring stage and, as established in the schedule of activities, will continue with the bidding stage, which is the process under which will select the firm that will execute the construction, financing, operation, conservation and maintenance of 668 km of the Magdalena River, between Barrancabermeja (Santander) and Bocas de Ceniza (Barranquilla).
This step occurs after the entity made the determination to discard the prequalification, made based on the studies in the pre-feasibility stage, and whose objective was to strengthen the maturation of the process, before the opening of the tender.
Interested parties can find the information about the project and its contract in the Terms Sheet (La Hoja de Términos) here. The document contains all the details and technical studies that will be included in the selection and subsequent contracting process, scheduled to be awarded in the second half of 2021.
This step is of vital importance in the work advancing in the development of the Cooperation Framework Agreement signed between the ANI and Cormagdalena, with the participation of the Inter-American Development Bank-IDB, an entity that -in addition to supporting the project- collaborates in the structuring process.
