The Department of Agriculture of Morocco has launched the Request for Expression of Interest for a project to desalinate seawater with a view to creating an irrigation perimeter for this region.

The project, to be be carried out as part of a PPP will have a term of contract ranging from 20 to 30 years.

This project will be based on the combined use of groundwater and desalination of seawater. The project envisages the production of 75,000 m3 of water per day from a desalination plant. 

The deadline for interested firms to submit the EOI documents is on or before February 15, 2017.
