Montenegro re-tenders cable car PPP

Montenegro has re-launched a tender process for a cable car concession a year after issuing the scheme.

The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism has issued a call for prequalification for a concession for the building and management of a new cable car from Kotor to Cetinje.

The cable car project will be implemented through a DBFOT, design-build-finance-operate-transfer, model.

The Cable Car will connect the Municipality of Kotor and the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, passing through the National Park Lovcen. The entire route will be divided in three sections, with four stations: Dub, Kuk, Ivanova Korita and Cetinje.

In order to consider the relevant aspects, a Feasibility Study and Revised Preliminary Design Project have been developed for all phases, except for machine installations, cableway stations and pavement structures for which conceptual designs have been made.

The Ministry has invited all interested parties to submit their prequalification applications by 5 September. The Tendering Commission will open the applications at the premises of the Ministry on the same day.
