Minas Gerais has launched tender documents for the administrative concession involving treatment of solid waste in Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.Two public consultations were conducted in April and September 2012 to review tender documents.The contract includes 47 municipalities which will be split in two packages:

• Package 1: Estimated total value of the contract of R$ 1,087 million (US$509 million)
• Package 2:  Estimated total value of the contract of R$ 1,115 million  (US$523 million)

The concession will have a 30-year duration.The deadline for submissions of proposals is November 27th.
