The Mexican Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSTE) has launched the tender process for its third hospital PPP project. This one will be located in Centro municipality, in the Tabasco region of Mexico.

The project involves the development of a new hospital under a design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) contract with a duration of the concession period of 23 years.  The new facilities will have a total of 126 beds and 29 consulting rooms. The project is scheduled to be awarded in November a it is expected to start operation in September 2018.

The deadline for submitting the proposals is on or before October 31, 12:00 (local hour).

See tender documents here.

As we reported in October 2015 this project is part of a major Government plan to develop a total of seven hospitals through the public private partnership (PPP) model.

In early July we informed about the tender process of the Bahía de Banderas 144-bed hospital project in Nayarit and at the end of June we also reported the re-launch of the 91-bed Mérida new hospital located in the municipality Yucatán. Both projects included in the Government above referred scheme.
