Mexico launches tender for Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession

Mexico's Secretary of Infrastructure of the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) launched on 2 July 2013 a tender process for Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession.

The deadline to buy tender documents is 2 August 2013. The SCT will conduct a visit to the project location on 8 August 2013.

The project consists on Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway for 30 years. The road project will have a length of 70.6Km.

Technical proposals are expected to be submitted on 13 September 2013.

Guanajuato is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 46 municipalities and its capital city is Guanajuato. The largest city in the state is León.

Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende are both UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites.
