Mexican road concession delayed

Mexico's Secretary of Communications and Transport (SCT) has delayed the Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession. SCT published an announcement delaying the submission of bids for the project sinedie. The announcement was issued on November 1st.

The delay comes after SCT announced in late September that the deadline to submit proposals for the Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession had been delayed until November 5th.

The  concession consists of the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the road  for 30 years. The road project will have a length of 70.6Km in the state of Guanajuato,which support tourism development in the Bajio.

Guanajuato is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided in 46 municipalities and its capital city is Guanajuato.
