The joint venture of MEP Infrastructure Developers and its Spanish partner, Sanjose India Infrastructure & Construction, has won the contract for the four laning of Talaja-Mahuya Section of NH 8E from Km 54.990 to Km 100.450 in Gujarat. MEP Infrastructure Developers and Sanjose India Infrastructure & Construction hold 60% and 40% of the joint venture, respectively.
In early April we informed that the submission date had been delayed until 18 April.
The contract awarded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will have a total investment of INR 6.43 billion (US$94.5 million).The project has been awarded under a 15-year concession agreement.
The project will be undertaken under the hybrid annuity model which is a mix of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and build operate transfer (BOT) system. NHAI owns a 40% stake in the project while private companies hold the remaining 60%.
