The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) have awarded three road public private partnership (PPP) projects to MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd (74%) and its joint venture partner SANJOSE India Infrastructure & Construction Ltd (26%), a subsidiary of the Spanish SANJOSE Group.
The total bid project cost is estimated at US$265 million. During construction, 40% of the project cost will be funded by NHAI and the remaining 60% will be arranged by the concessionaire. The projects will be developed on build, operation and transfer (BOT) model under the Hybrid Annuity basis. The three projects are the following:
Additionally the Road Infrastructure Development Company of Rajasthan Ltd, a 50/50 joint initiative of Government of Rajasthan and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd, has also awarded MEP Infrastructure Developers Ltd as the contractor on the basis of competitive bidding for the 195 Km connection between NH-11A at Lalsot to NH-12 at Kota, and the 81 km junction of Alwar Delhi road on Alwar bypass to NH-11 at Sikandra. The contractual amount for the projects are US$4.5 million and US$2.8 million respectively.
