The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced its notice of intent to award the I-395/SR 83611/ I-95 Public Private Partnership (P3) Project to the Archer Western-de Moya Joint Venture (AW-dMG).
In April 2016, six teams submitted bids for the project:
The three four teams were shortlisted by the FDOT and submitted their technical and financial proposals. Kiewit Granite Constructors, a JV, was non-responsive.
This P3 is a partnership between FDOT and the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), and involves three projects that will be constructed concurrently by the AW-dMG Joint Venture to minimize impacts to the public. The three projects include:
Additionally, the project involves two additional components: the I-95 pavement reconstruction project and the MDX 836.11 project.
The project has an estimated total construction cost of US$802 million.
Miami-Dade county has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the development of a civil courthouse, which will be delivered through P3 scheme or some kind of lease payment from the private party for the properties the county owns.
