Mexico's Secretary of Communications and Transport (SCT) has delayed the submission of bids for the two toll road projects that is currently tendering, the Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession and the Siglo XXI highway concession (Jantetelco - El Higuerón).
SCT announced in an informative release to potential bidders that the deadline to submit proposals for the Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession has been delayed until November 5th. September 13th was the previous deadline.
Regarding the Siglo XXI highway, the SCT set the deadline for submission of proposals on October 15th but on Monday it delayed a forum for bidders until new communication, which could even delay longer the submission of bids.
The Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende highway concession consists of the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of the road for 30 years. The road project will have a length of 70.6Km in the state of Guanajuato.
The other concession contract being tendered consists of the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of a 60 km stretch of the Siglo XXI highway, between Jantetelco and the Autopista del Sol (Km 40), in the state of Morelos.
InfraPPP understands that companies such as Isolux Infrastructure, FCC, OHL Mexico, Tradeco, IDEAL, Aldesa, ICA, Mota Engil will bid for the projects. Spanish and Mexican firms will dominate the process.
